Admission Procedure

A Simple Process to Begin Your Child’s Journey with Us

At Progressive Public School, we welcome families who value a balanced education that combines academic strength, personal development, and an inclusive learning environment.

Our admissions process is designed to be transparent, supportive, and focused on understanding each child’s needs to ensure a smooth transition into school life.

Academic Pathways Available

In the Senior years, students may pursue one of two recognised academic streams:

  • The Cambridge pathway offered through Cambridge Assessment International Education
  • The Matriculation pathway offered through Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB)

Both pathways are supported by experienced faculty and aligned with the school’s emphasis on conceptual learning and academic integrity.

Who Can Apply?

Admissions are open to students for:

  • Pre-Primary (entry-level early years)
  • Primary, Middle, and Senior classes (subject to seat availability)

Placement is determined based on the child’s age, previous schooling, and readiness for the applied level.

Admission Procedure

Step 1: Inquiry and School Visit

Parents are encouraged to visit the school, meet the admissions team, and gain an understanding of our learning environment and expectations.

Step 2: Submission of Application Form

A completed admission form must be submitted along with the required documents.

Step 3: Student Assessment

Applicants may be invited for an age-appropriate assessment to help determine academic readiness and identify any support required.

This is not a competitive exam, but a way for us to understand how best to support the child.

Step 4: Interaction / Meeting with Parents

A brief meeting allows us to build a partnership with parents and ensure alignment between home and school expectations.

Step 5: Admission Confirmation

Successful applicants receive an admission offer along with fee details and joining instructions.

Documents Required

Parents are requested to provide:

  • Copy of Birth Certificate / B-Form
  • Previous School Report / Transcript (if applicable)
  • Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate
  • Recent Passport-Size Photographs
  • Copy of Parent / Guardian CNIC
  • Any relevant medical or learning support information (if applicable)

Our Approach to Student Placement

We recognise that every child learns differently. Where needed, the school may recommend supportive strategies to ensure that students transition comfortably into their new environment.

Our goal is to place children where they will feel confident, capable, and ready to succeed — not pressured.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community.
